Frequently Asked Questions

Will there be an open bar?

We will answer the most important question first... There will absolutely be an open bar! PLEASE tell us what you would like to drink for the night? With such a small guest list we do not want to buy a full bar of alcohol that nobody wants to drink. We will gladly make sure the bar is stocked just for you. Don’t be shy… we already know you’re not! Please feel free to tip the bartenders.

When do I need to RSVP by?

This event is invite only. Since we are only inviting our closest family and friends we ask that everyone RSVP no later then August 1st.

I am not able to attend, now what?

We are so sorry that you are not able to attend. You will be missed. Please let us know as soon as possible so we can arrange to get together soon.

What should I wear?

This is a formal event. We are asking all guests to wear the color blue. Any shade of blue is acceptable. Since we are having a small intimate wedding every single person invited is considered apart of our wedding party. With everyone in shades of blue it will really make our photos cohesive. If you are not a fan of blue or just cannot find something blue to wear, you are welcome to wear black. PLEASE DO NOT WEAR ANY SHADE OF WHITE OR CREAM... You will be asked to change or leave. If you are unsure if your attire will be acceptable or not, you are welcome to text Sarah - 805.701.8126. She will gladly give you an approval or denial.

Are the events indoor or outdoor ?

Our wedding ceremony will be taking place outdoors. You will be walking on grass so women may want to be cautious of the type of shoes they wear. The reception will also be taking place outdoors.

What will the weather be like?

While we cannot predict the weather so far out, the typical late September weather is rather nice. Sunsets around 7pm and we still typically feel a warmer summer night. However, we live in Southern California so there is no telling, but we do have a backup plan if there happens to be rain. Wedding date and locations are all rain or shine.

Are children welcome?

Unfortunately, unless we have specifically invited your child there will be no children at the wedding. We encourage all of our friend's and family with little ones to get a sitter for the night so you can fully enjoy this special occasion with us.

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

While we have stated that the wedding is by invite only, we understand that you may have a plus one that was not invited but you would like to enjoy the night with. For this, we invite your guest to come during the dance part of the reception, around 7pm.

I am an out of town guest - Can we stay at your house?

While all of our out of town guests are family or close friends, who we would normally welcome into our homes to stay, we are asking that all guests from out of town make hotel arrangements for their wedding weekend stay. Hotel information can be found on the travel page on our site.

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

If you know us, and you all surely do, we are very prompt people. Please arrive to the ceremony precisely at 3:00pm. The ceremony will start promptly at 3:15pm. We ask that you do not arrive before 3pm unless you have specifically been asked to.

Am I able to take photos or record during the ceremony?

Unplugged ceremonies are definitely on trend but we understand that you may want your own photos and videos so yes, you are allowed to take photos and record the ceremony BUT we do ask that you keep your cameras and phones low so that they are not shown in any of our professional photography or videography. We also encourage you to be present for our ceremony and not messing with your phone or device. We have hired professionals to document this day and we will be sharing everything with our guests.

Can I post photos and videos on social media? And what is your Wedding Hashtag?

You can absolutely post photos and videos of our day! Please tag us so we can enjoy them. While hashtags are not really a thing anymore, our wonderful day of coordinator came up with two very cute ones. #SarahWithAnHForever or #SarahWithHerH ... Obviously the H is for Henry and if you know Sarah one of her BIGGEST pet peeves is when anyone spells the name Sarah without an H. The hashtags are very fitting.

Where are you registered?

We do not have a formal registry. The most important thing to us is that you are able to celebrate with us on our wedding day. However, if you wish to give a gift, we will gratefully accept a contribution towards our honeymoon. We have booked a week long cruise to Catalina Island, San Francisco, San Diego and Ensenada, Mexico.
